| I think green is everyone’s favorite color nowadays. The push to educate about eco-friendly lifestyles continues here in Florida, as Palm Beach County gears up to host its first ever Green For Life EcoFest.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Bryant Park in Lake Worth, Florida. Expect to find educational booths promoting “green” practices, seminars on green architecture and design, motivational speakers, rides, entertainment and more.
Grammy-winning hip-hop band Arrested Development, whose hit “Tennessee” topped charts in the early 1990s, will perform along with other artists.
Different sections of the park will feature booths focused on health and wellness, home and garden, office and sustainable products, nutrition and charitable causes. Vendors will showcase green products and services.
Other fun activities include free boat tours of the Lake Worth Lagoon and a mini “green market” for shoppers.
Visitors are encouraged to carpool to the Lake Worth park, 7 N. Dixie Highway (corner of Golfview and Lake avenues). Molly's Trolley will also run a free continuous loop on Lucerne Ave.
If you live nearby, or are just visiting the area, make plans to stop by the park for a fun and educational afternoon. |
