Bikers & Shopping in Panama City
May 01, 2008
Pier Park, Panama City Beach’s premiere retail, dining and entertainment venue, is hosting its first annual ‘Fun in the Sun’ Street Fair, May 1 - 4, which will coincide with the semi-annual Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally and the opening of approximately 30 new stores at Pier Park.

Billed as “The Most Biker Friendly Free Rally in the United States,” the Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally is truly a community event and as the area’s newest attraction. Pier Park is anxious to be a part of the Spring 2008 Rally.

Pier Park Drive from Front Beach Road to Sea Monkey Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic during the May 1 - 4 period so that tenants can display their merchandise in front of their stores and patrons can leisurely stroll the avenue. Street fair hours will mirror the mall hours of 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday – Saturday and 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. For those arriving by motorcycle, Pier Park uniformed security will be providing additional parking lot coverage.

Whether you come out for the ride or the shopping, special events and promotions will make this a unique day out. If you've never been to Pier Park, this weekend's activities are a great excuse to browse the stores and discover new restaurants.
