2008 Handa Cup slated for St Augustine
November 21, 2008

St. Augustine's World Golf Hall of Fame will play host to an international team competition featuring six Hall of Famers. The Handa Cup will be held Dec. 4-6, 2008.

The United States team, led by the legendary Kathy Whitworth, will defend their title against an international team captained by Cathy Panton Lewis.

The US team has been victorious the past two matches, but will need to play well to beat the International team, which features U.S. Women's Open Champion Alison Nichols. Alison, who will make her Legends Tour debut, won the 1997 US Open victory.  That was last time Nancy Lopez, who finished in 2nd place, contended in a major.
