Hot Deals in Cooling Florida

It's getting cooler in Florida, and when Florida cools down, it's usually the northern part of the state that feels it first.

There are some golf deals going on now in the northeast part of the state, in and around Jacksonville worthy of your attention.

Try the Courtyard by Marriott Oceanfront in Jacksonville Beach and its "beach and golf getaway" in which $415 will get you three nights' lodging and three rounds at Cimarrone Golf and Country Club – with its great marsh views – and Windsor Parke Golf Club, an elegant, player-friendly Arthur Hills design.

A stay-and-play deal at the Fairfield Inn and Suites starts at $317 per person, per night. That's three nights' stay, including continental breakfast, and three rounds at Cimarrone, the Pine course at The Grand Club and St. Johns Golf Club.

Arnold Palmer designed the forgiving Pine course, and the St. Johns Golf Club is a nifty municipal course with mounded fairways.

If three nights is too much, the Comfort Suites World Golf Village has a two-night package, which includes two rounds of golf at Cimarrone and Eagle Harbor Golf Club, with its lush fairways and excellent conditioning. Oh yeah, and a hot breakfast buffet. From $211 per person.
