Jack Nicklaus Celebrates Renovation of Sailfish Point Course

Jack Nicklaus – the Golden Bear - and his Nicklaus Design team have finished the renovation of his signature golf course at Sailfish Point. Located on Hutchinson Island near Stuart and just north of Port St. Lucie, FL this was Nicklaus’ second solo design in Florida back in 1981. Sailfish Point is known for its famous #18 finishing hole dubbed “Window on the Sea”.

Nicklaus held a press conference and then struck the ceremonial “first shot” on the revamped 6,837 yard, par 72, 18-hole championship layout. Also at the press conference was Joe Vessely – Club President, and Director of Golf – Victor Tortorici.
