Jacksonville Landing Hall of Terror and Haunted River Ride
October 13, 2009
It’s bigger…darker…scarier…it’s the Hall of Terror & Haunted River Ride at Jacksonville’s Adventure Landing on Jacksonville Beach! If you’re looking for a frightfully good time (and you're very brave) you need to experience Jacksonville’s best haunted house attractions. All this fun happens select dates from Oct. 9 - 31 (9-11, 16-18, 22-31) and starts about 7 p.m. and ends around 11 p.m.

The Hall of Terror is put on by the Jacksonville Jaycees, and this is the 34th year of scary fun. I’ve been told that it will have more horrifying haunts than ever before, so enter at your own risk! There promises to be close encounters with zombies, ghouls and other frightening creatures!

And your heart will sink on the Haunted River Ride around the Lil' St. Johns Lazy River. If you like to be scared, then you’ll love this terrifying ride. Here’s a hint: Watch out for the water below!

Single Attraction Tickets are $10.99 and you can get the Frightful Fun Combo Ticket for $16.99 which includes admission to both Hall of Terror and Haunted River Ride. Or get the Ultimate Combo Ticket for $25.99, which includes admission to the Hall of Terror, the Haunted River Ride PLUS a Quest Pass – where you can choose any combination of three of the following attractions: a mini golf game, a go-kart ride, a wacky worm rollercoaster ride or a frog hopper ride.

For more info, log on to their website or give them a call at 904-246-4386.

For the little ones (and not-so-brave crowd), check out the Hallo-WEE Party at Adventure Landing instead. All the fun happens on Halloween Day, Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is a fantastic family event that everyone can enjoy. This is a FREE festival of crafts, games, a bounce house, face painting, candy, dance performances and more! There will also be a costume contest at noon with great prizes being awarded for Scariest, Cutest and Most Original categories.

For children 12 and under, there is a Triple Threat Combo Special for purchase which will give you a Wacky Worm Rollercoaster ride, a Frog Hopper ride and a Mini Golf Game for only $5 per person.

For more info on the Hallo-WEE Party, visit Adventure Landing’s website.

Have a scary good time!
