Father's Day Freebies, Fun, And More!
June 15, 2009
This Sunday is Father's Day, and there's lots of great things to do in Florida to celebrate. Most are even free. Here's a list to get you started about family fun with Dad:

Is your dad a good sport? Take him out to the ball game! The Florida Marlins are playing the Yankees on Father’s Day at 5 p.m.

Does your dad need a little rest and relaxation? Pack a picnic and take dad to the beach for an afternoon of sun and fun.

Monkey around with dad at the zoo on Father’s Day – most zoos in Florida are offering free admission for dads this Sunday.

Give the grill (and dad) a break for the day and take dad to brunch. Some favorites in south Florida are Rusty Pelican, Chart House, the Biltmore Hotel and Smith & Wolinsky’s.

Is dad your knight in shining armor? Medieval Times is giving dad free admission all Father’s Day Weekend (mention code DFFL09).

Does your dad dig dinosaurs? Dinosaur World in Plant City is offering free admission to dads this Sunday. Show dad a roaring good time!

Does dad love the wild blue wonder? Is he passionate about planes? Take him to Fantasy of Flight June 18-21 for free admission and high flying fun.

If dad loves art, take him for free to the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art! He can also enjoy 2-for-1 beer at the museum.

Is dad a chip off the old block? Take him for free to the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine for free on Sunday! Bob Hope’s “Shanks for the Memories” exhibit is going on, and dad will get free IMAX admission and a gift bag too!

If dad loves his fruit, take him to the Redland Fruit and Spice Park for their annual Redland Summer Fruit Festival this weekend. It’s not free, but it is a great time with food booths, exhibits, and more.

Dads and grandfathers get free admission to Young At Art in Fort Lauderdale for Father's Day, too!

Happy Father's Day to you all. Enjoy every minute!
