Daycation at Cranes BeachHouse Hotel in Delray Beach
May 21, 2009
First came vacation - go far away and get away. Then staycation - stay close to home and share a little sunshine. Now here comes something new - 'Daycation.'

Cranes BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar in Delray Beach is offering a new travel trend to fit families already feeling the money crunch - a one-day, one-night mini-vacation. The Daycation package starts at $79 per person and includes a one-bedroom suite, an oceanfront dinner at Caffe Luna Rosa, champagne upon arrival and a continental breakfast. Sounds like the royal treatment to me!

The Daycation rate is for new reservations only, and there is a $20 surcharge on Friday and Saturday nights (when they have open mike night at the Tiki Bar). To find out more about "Daycation" and also check out their summer rates, visit Crane's  Web site.

I stayed at Cranes several weeks ago - funky tropical decor - and it is one block from the beach. Perfect.

By the way, the prize for week two of the Sunshare Sweepstakes - this week-  is an eight-night getaway to Greater Fort Lauderdale. Every time you send a video invite to family and friends, to come to Florida and share a little sunshine, you are entered to win a vacation getaway. Give it a try!
