Palatka Blue Crab Festival on Memorial Day Weekend
May 19, 2009
Like parades? Love Florida seafood? Got a thing for blue crabs? Put them all together this weekend and go to the 2009 Palatka Blue Crab Festival. Things get going on Friday evening, May 22, starting at 4 p.m. with lots of entertainment all evening. Then the Festival opens on Saturday, May 23 at 10 a.m. The Florida Seafood Cookoff State Championship happens right here, and you know there will be plenty of seafood to share.

The Festival continues Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25. The Memorial Day parade starts at 10 a.m. on Monday. I love parades!

Check out the festival Web site for event activities - this is family-friendly with so much to do, so little time!

And while you are on the web making plans for Palatka, check out VISIT FLORIDA's new campaign to Share a little Sunshine and send a video invite to family and friends. Every time you send an invite to come share our best asset - sunshine! -  you are entered to win a free vacation. Every week there is a new prize. Enjoy.
