Through Rose-Colored Lenses
April 22, 2008
You’ve always admired that gorgeous Florida sunset, and thus have taken countless pix of it. To no avail—you just can’t seem to do the colors justice with your itty-bitty digital and amateur skills.

No need to bother any longer. With Sunsets, the first book of current Miami resident and self-taught photographer Lora Drasner, you now can have one always at the ready. Released this past March 31, Sunsets features more than 80 images of beautiful skyscapes from Drasner’s three-year honeymoon around the world on the yacht, Andromenda la Dea.

Of course, my favorite is the “Miami Sky,” but there’s plenty of atmospheric gymnastics to enjoy from other exotic parts of the world—including Moorea (Tahiti), Staniel Cay (Bahamas), Society Islands, Bay of Virgins (Marquesas) and Nomuka Iki Island (Tonga), among many others. For more information, go to www.sunset-book.com.
