There is something about contemporary art that draws me in with its cultural relevance. The Museum of Florida Art in DeLand will feature the work of profound contemporary painter Carl Knickerboker that will make you rethink the way you consume your news.
Entitled "Confessions of a Suburban Primitive: Paintings by Carl Knickerbocker," the exhibition combines images of thought-provoking pop culture references as examined from a suburban point of view. It opens on June 12 and will run through to Aug. 23, so you've got plenty of time to enjoy this special collection in the museum's lower gallery this summer. Perhaps it will event spark up some passionate debates about our society's state of affairs between you and your friends!
