Wicked Comes to Jacksonville
May 07, 2009
The Wizard of Oz was one of my favorite movies growing up.The classic tale of Dorothy and Toto and their travels along the yellow bring road completely captured my imagination. I've heard about the Broadway rendition of "Wicked" for quite a while now and am glad to say that it is now showing in Jacksonville!

On stage at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts, this quirky musical examines the adolescence of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch and shows what life was like before Dorothy enters the picture. Highly celebrated, it has won tons of awards and was even called "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" by The New York Times.

The show will run until May 10, so book your tickets to catch the last performances quickly! Parents take note, this show is for mature audiences and recommended for children 8 years old and above. For tickets click here

For those coming in from out of town, the Wyndham Hotel has teamed up with the city to offer "Wyndham Goes Wicked" a special discounted promotion that includes tickets, a great room and food and drinks. Find out more here: www.wyndham.com/specialoffers/special_offers/details/jaxht_wicked.wnt.
