10th Annual Mystery Map Event at Little Manatee River State Park Has Latin Fiesta Theme
September 22, 2009
A Latin flavor is brewing at Little Manatee River State Park, where the tenth annual Mystery Map event will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event just 30 minutes from Tampa is fun for horse riders and hikers of all ages. This year’s theme is ‘A Latin Fiesta.’

Each participant is given a trail map with themed activities. A contest is part of the fun and there are prizes for three participants who come closest to completing the trail at a specific time.

The Mystery Map event features prizes, an auction, games, music and a lunch of arroz con pollo (chicken and rice), black beans and drinks.

Donations to participate in this event are $20 per person. It’s sponsored by the Friends of the Little Manatee River State Park and Saddle Up Tack of Lithia, and proceeds benefit the park.

I’m looking forward to heading outside this fall, especially for a fiesta in a park!
