Family Beach Walks Every Monday 9 a.m. Free Every Monday the Shell Museum and “Ding” Darling NWR will host a Family Beach Walk. Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the Gulfside Park/Algiers parking lot. The walk will be led by one of the Museum’s Shell Experts and a “Ding” Darling Refuge Specialist. “Behind The Scenes" At The Museum June 18th Free Did you ever wonder what happens “Behind The Scenes” at a Museum? If you’re curious about the second floor activity at The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum then be sure to join volunteer Linda Kramer for the “Behind The Scenes Workshop” as she discusses the worldwide collection as well as how shells are identified and classified. Linda began visiting Sanibel in 1998 and has called the island home since 2001. For the past several years she has been assisting the Museum with cataloguing the Lois Dunham Collection. Prior to serving as a volunteer at the Shell Museum, Linda volunteered for the Natural History Museum in New York, the New York Museum of Art and SCCF. The Workshop will be held in the Collec
