Jackson Pollock was Thomas Hart Benton's most well-known student (Bento's lithographs are on display at the Appleton through Nov. 9). The film follows the exploits of Teri Horton, a 73 year-old long-haul truck driver, who picked up a painting in a thrift shop. When she went to sell it in a garage sale a local art teacher recognized the painting as a possible work by famed American artist Jackson Pollock. What followed pitted a blue-collar worker against the highest and mightiest people in the art world and would perhaps change forever the way art is authenticated. Showtime at 2 p.m.
