Anyone who knows the Sandsculpting Festival knows that the Beach can transformed into something beautiful, something magical, something comical or something whimsical. But no matter what, it is always amazing. Masters of the craft and amateurs alike join to create what is one of the most popular events held on Fort Myers Beach.

Year after year, approximately 65,000 spectators continue to be in awe of the creations that are formed simply by combining water and the sugar fine white sand from our spectacular beach. Many of the Masters believe that Fort Myers Beach sand is the best in the world for events like this, and they look forward to returning each year to participate.

Family Beach Walks Every Monday 9 a.m. Free Every Monday the Shell Museum and “Ding” Darling NWR will host a Family Beach Walk. Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the Gulfside Park/Algiers parking lot. The walk will be led by one of the Museum’s Shell Experts and a “Ding” Darling Refuge Specialist. The entire family will join in the discovery of the wonderful world of mollusks, the shells they produce and the environment that serves as their home. There is no charge for this program. Read Less
