Mossy oaks, limestone bluffs and the wild Suwannee River lend White Springs a primitive beauty and esteem among paddlers, hikers, mountain bikers, birders and anglers. Big Shoals State Park caters to all of these, and includes the state's largest whitewater rapids. Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park offers more of the same, plus the annual Florida Folk Festival, celebrated for more than 50 years.
