Although just a few miles south of Indian Rocks Beach, the town of Indian Shores has worked to emphasize its own identity. Indian Shores is also home to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, a non-profit agency dedicated to the care and release of injured birds, native to the Gulf Coast.
